RESOLUTION #5

 

 

 

January 19, 2009

 

 

WHEREAS, The Berkshire Town Board must approve all Town of Berkshire vouchers and warrants before checks are written (except for payroll checks which are audited by the Board), and,

 

WHEREAS, Checks and monthly balances are prepared by a Town Board appointed bookkeeper who is not the Town Supervisor, and

 

WHEREAS, Checks are signed by the Supervisor or in his absence, a Board approved alternate

 

 

 

 

RESOLVED,  The requirement for two (2) Board member signatures on Town of Berkshire checks and interfund transfers is hereby rescinded and a single authorized signature will suffice for disbursing checks and transfer of funds between accounts.
